Аннотация. Актуальность данной статьи обуславливается наличием устойчивого внимания общественности и научного сообщества к проблемам темнокожей общины в разных странах. Рассматриваются события, легшие в основу международных выступлений в защиту расовых меньшинств. Автор стремится обосновать, почему во Французской Республике международная организация “Black Lives Matter” не получила достаточной поддержки, уступив место национальной силе – «Правде для Адамы». Отмечается необходимость определить причины появления темнокожей протестной группы во Франции и то, какое воздействие она оказала на процесс принятия политических решений в стране. Статья демонстрирует, как движение “Black Lives Matter”, представленное несколькими организациями, сумело инициировать масштабную дискуссию на национальном уровне и при этом не смогло подтолкнуть государственных деятелей принимать меры, которые отражают требования демонстрантов.

“Black Lives Matter” and “Truth for Adama”:

French Protests of Racial Minorities

Abstract. The relevance of this article stems from the persistent public and academic attention to the problems of Black communities in various countries. It examines the events that inspired international protests in defense of racial minorities. The author seeks to explain why the international organization “Black Lives Matter” failed to gain sufficient support in the French Republic, giving way to a national force – “Truth for Adama”. Thus, there is a need to determine the reasons for the appearance of a black protest group in this country and what impact it had on the political decision-making process. The article demonstrates how the “Black Lives Matter” movement, represented by several organizations, managed to initiate a large-scale national debate but failed to push government officials to take measures that reflect the demands of the demonstrators.
