Аннотация. В статье исследуется историческая эволюция портовой системы Чёрного моря как инфраструктурной основы экономических, политических и культурных связей Причерноморья в период от начала греческой колонизации (VII–VI вв. до н. э.) до установления османского контроля (вторая половина XV в.). Прослежены ключевые этапы формирования и трансформации черноморской торговой сети: становление портовой инфраструктуры в ходе греческой колонизации, функционирование зернового экспорта Боспорского царства, роль римских и византийских гаваней в имперской логистике и, наконец, создание генуэзско-венецианской торговой системы XIII–XV вв. как первой интегрированной общечерноморской коммерческой сети. Показано, что портовая инфраструктура определяла не только маршруты морской торговли, но и характер колонизационных процессов, направления межкультурных контактов и логику геополитического соперничества. Рассмотрено влияние палеогеографических факторов – голоценовой трансгрессии и береговой эрозии – на историческую судьбу портовых центров. Проанализированы причины стремительного краха итальянского торгового присутствия после османского завоевания и его последствия для экономической географии региона.

Sea Bays and Harbor of the Black Sea Coast in Ancient and Medieval Times: History, Navigation, Trade

Abstract. The article examines the historical evolution of the Black Sea port system as the infrastructural foundation of economic, political, and cultural connections across the Pontus Euxinus region from the beginning of Greek colonization (7^th–6^th centuries BC) to the establishment of Ottoman control (second half of the 15^th century). The key stages in the formation and transformation of the Black Sea trade network are traced: the development of port infrastructure during Greek colonization, the functioning of the Bosporan Kingdom’s grain export system, the role of Roman and Byzantine harbors in imperial logistics, and the creation of the Genoese-Venetian commercial network of the 13^th–15^th centuries as the first integrated pan-Black Sea trading system. It is demonstrated that port infrastructure determined not only maritime trade routes but also the character of colonization processes, the directions of intercultural contacts, and the logic of geopolitical rivalry. The impact of paleogeographic factors – Holocene transgression and coastal erosion – on the historical fate of port centers is examined. The causes of the rapid collapse of Italian commercial presence following the Ottoman conquest and its consequences for the region’s economic geography are analyzed.
